its a back and forth game and even when the second-half lead is gained its never sure until the final minute... i call that an exciting game, a MUST DOWNLOAD

yeah but rar does not invite as many newbies as winzip does (with its faggot wizard interface and whatnot) and so u get dumb morons "drag and dropping" their entire quake folder just to zip up a couple demos.

If you dont like the wizard or something, turn it off? :) Such things are on by default for the newbs but are togglable for the pros

besides tk, def, dnx3 and some already mentioned, the talent pool drops off down to guys like me:/ gelleh used to play some qw, and he had skill; but he is no longer playing the manly game :P qw is not alive in north america i am sorry to say; unfortunately it is only alive and active in the eu and the au :( most na guys like me play qw on lan with friends. I will probably do this until i go the way of all flesh....

Yeah, xhrl... I know and play Quake(World) since the very beginning, and still find it fascinating and watch every now and then some good demos. I hope QuakeWorld will never die...

well xhrl, there are maybe 100-200 people playing in north america/canada... but its nothing serious not even like au. maybe on the level of brazil right now... :) mostly clan arena, some team fortress, some dm...
