Well, the latest demos I saw on dm2 where those of Locktar and Insane, and those were nice to watch.

I for one find this game fun due to tight scores and nice comeback.

It's not just how you play it. On dm4 the attacker at least has reasonable chances to get back if someone is CS'ing on a lead. DM2 is no good for duels because you can just say 1-0, gg, cu at RA/100h room. In fact the map is just a big circle, you can run away spamming rockets to your heart's content.

If DM2 had never been designed and somebody designed it today as a custom map and said "Look at my new duel map"...then everyone would just laugh and say that it was lame and completely unsuited to duels. If that makes any sense at all, which it probably doesn't.

I see your point rev, however i must agree with Phil on this particular demo, where space manages to come back and take out riker who is "CS:ing" (or what you want to call it). That shows that it's not always suitable to just hide and wait for the bell. Not an important game maybe, but a little fun to watch. :)

We all complain about dm2, but we don't take up any new maps. We're still playing 4 out of the 6 original dm maps, and remember that whoever made these dm maps had absolutely no clue.

Well
I think dm2 can be one of the most exiting maps for duels, at least it used to be... TGI anyone?

Fantastic game. :-) I'd call it "Punishment To CSer".
