But the 1on1 finals are the wrong demos. These are the quarterfinals between reppie and mutilator.

hot axion and qw drama mixture detectect 8|

one thing i dislike tho no matter what is zzz'ing @ tele :/ reppies fearless rambo micromovement attacks were much more entertaining, not mentioning the runaway lowhealth bigroom stairs frag :O

this isnt muti's first time at qhlan for sure, and he was in semis or quarterfinals more than once i think

so i hope this will shut up all those people flaming the GGL for putting reppie in the open division :P

Did any euro in the invite divisions of AC2 finish higher than reppie at qhlan?

I agree with phil. These demos show that Reppie is shit and he doesn't even deserve to be in AC2. AC2 was designed for highly skilled Americans anyway.

careless to say, I think reppie looked rather unconsentrated during the game, he a fair amount of rjumps and made some fatal mistakes, although I would very much like to see a newer aerowalk game with reppie in it :) the dm2 game was still very fun to watch. It was a very close game but I think mutilator deserved the win.

there were only 3 qhlan servers, rest was played (mostly) on iop servers, so if there are still any mvd's they should be on those servers :)

1on1 demos from qhlan finals were quickly copied without screening, sorry that's why the wrong demos were uploaded, but they are now corrected. All demos from the qhlan servers will be available shortly after Lorn has upped them to Eter @ demo.qhlan.org. When will be posted in #qhlan.

saw the final live. Was a thriller, ppl going nuts spamming when the first overtime happend.

I hardly play QW anymore, but i follow the eql, nqr qhlan, just like older ppl that used to play fotball in theyr youth follow the main fotball events from theyr couch when they get older.

The cool thing with qhlan is that it is always in my christmas trip to my family, so it not so much to do, other than getting stoned and speccing qhlan. But this year, only the 1on1 tournament was kinda exciting, the 2on2 was just a rape tour, same for 4on4

the way muti plays is some weird combo of cs and q3. And that playing-style is exactly the reason why i dislike cs and q3, but now even good old qw seems to be infected :/

muti still has the beautiful aim of quakeworld, just look at that smooth-as-hot-knife-thru-butter shaft, or the trampoline-effect inducing rockets, and he also exhibits a judicious use of the quick-spurt attacks that no counterstrike or quake3 player can even dream of. (well, quake3 players might DREAM of it, but never come close to it anyways)

haha phil. nice visuals you paint in your descriptions ;) mutilator's style reminded me of a cross between a tenacious north american with the accuracy and reactive skills of dag's little brother (hypothetically speaking that is) 8>

great games by two exciting players! glad to see these old farts still owning the glory in the manly man's game. yeah, hagge's right: that hf team from 4 or 5 years ago would be one hell of a reunion.
