Oh my, what i night! I will now reveal a secret know only to a few people. Not only did i get alot of whine from SR, TVS and dozens of specs in QW and on IRC, i also got alot of whine from my girlfriend who was waiting for me to turn my full attention to her instead of that insignificant video game. No wonder i was so pissed off! :-)

We did play DM3 as decider, and we did win.

watched the first 3 minutes or so. never knew what was said after i dropped from server to this day. and i must now say, it still makes my blood boil...

At first i thought such threats were made in reply to me saying "dm3 or die" earlier. But in these days "prac or die" was quite common and i derived it from there. In retrospect this is still a sad event (even more so it was the 2nd "failure" season in a row!)

Not that I care much, but it is still an interesting discussion. Paradoks and Goljat just saw that Apollyon said: "The decider is dm3." Anyone with any sense at all should understand that it felt a bit odd to them, knowing that tvs had choosen dm3 as homemap and that Apollyon cheered for tvs. As I recall it, the proof para and golle got, was a screenshot from Apollyons computer, showing that program (backoffice?). Don't even know if they had got this screen when the fight was actually played. To just accept it, without questioning the manner would in my opinion be a strange behavior from the "winnerbrains" of goljat and paradoks. Remember that they belong in the top of competition ladder. That doesen't mean that they are cheaters, or lame, but that they of course will look for all possible advantages and flee the disadvantages. Still, Apollyon is not to blame, since he obviously used an accepted rule in the smackdown leuge. Yeh, Apollyon was head admin, and yes, he had the right to say "play or wo", but no team, and defenitely not a team, having won all their games, does whatever an admin say, just because he say it. What is to blame, is, the rules. Obviously the rules were not clear enough. I am 100% certain that if Para and Golle actually had witnessed that the pick of map was random, they would not have whined at all. (As a footnote, if I don't remember wrong, the use of the backoffice(?) random program went wrong a few times for Apollyon too, picking maps not even in the leuge. But of this, I am not sure.) This is just my point of view.

Long story "short".

Never before during that season was backoffice on smackdown site used for decider. The standard procuedure was !randommap @ #smackdown. I used this on #smackdown, to which Apollyon replied with banning the bot and ignoring us - however did say "play dm3 or die". There was no sshots of Apollyon's backoffice before long after the whole comotion.

tVS wanted dm3 and we wanted dm6, so ofcourse we didn't wanna roll over when apol said dm3 without using !randommap.

SD admins regocknized the situation from SR's position and rejected apollyons decision to give WO to tVS. We got to play Semifinals with tVS, this time with !randommap (who ironically said dm3).

Theese are the facts, but ofcourse lot of inbetween insults were thrown in attempts to convince the other side that we were unfair trated, or for apol's case that we should just obey admins saying without questions.

Why it ended up developing into one of the biggest farces in QW history I can only speculate. Maybe a combination of 2 stubborn sides, 100 spectators spamming "SR ARE LAMERS" "APOL GO FAKK YOURSELF", a big touranment semifinals in biggest 4on4 tournament at that time, the last map of the match all adds up to a very heated warzone :)

If you hadn't been getting on my nerves the week before so much i wouldnt have used the backoffice. Using it was perfectly ok with the rules. And anyway, in my league my word is the law no matter how good the clans/players.

why would you want to play dm6 anyway? that's ridiculous, not to mention quite lame. it's not like tvs was some kind of juggernaut at dm3 anyway, most will agree that you were better than them.

especially since you won them on dm3 when it was all said and done :)

even though i dont like para very much i must admit that he is 100% right this time.

It's a league game final, so yes, it IS all that matters. If you don't get that, get playing your NQR div 45609689596860596 games or "pracs" vs DivX-Y clans.

I don't play at all, thank you. And obviously you didn't get WHAT I was talking about. Same applies to you, get playing your divX-Y games and leave the real guys uncommented who play serious games.

so all that matters is just to win? and not to have fun? well sure it's a league game.. but sr is probably the only clan I can think of who would choose such a sucky map just to win a stupid tourney B< well me better get back to my div45609689596860596 games now :<

Yes, Hagge. To some people it is the thing that matters. Especially in a final game. If you "just play for fun" (usually an excuse for being crap) and don't care if you win (big lie) that's YOUR thing. But take your crap elsewhere and don't moan about players who actually care about winning and were treated unfairly. Slackers had all right to act the way they did, the situation was handled completely wrong. It was one of the situations I felt really ashamed for being part of the Smackdown team.
Anyway, my point is, Slackers weren't treated fair, and I can't stand you who now talk crap about the way Slackers tried to enforce the correct rules. It wasn't YOU who were told aren't liked by the headadmin and wanted to lose. Why not? Because you all suck and didn't even make it that far. You can now easily sit back and comment about SR being lame. Yes, they are lame, but that's not the point :)

And error, why don't you say anything with like, a point? But yea, arguments are for people who run out of insults. I guess you haven't run out of them yet. And no, I will not stop commenting, just because I'm not playing actively anymore. Why should I? I still care for the game and some league games so I will continue posting my opinions on demos and in the forums.

I've come to the conclusion that this "drama" wasn't real. It was just another sr-trick to gain the underdog-status for the last map. Credits also to apo for playing his part to perfection 8)
